2013 Stewardship Appeal Results


Participation Update—5/3/13
 
788 = Total Pledged Gifts
$172,849 = Total Pledged Amount
$130,374 = Paid to the Appeal
11% = Parish Participation Rate

Thank you to those who have already participated in this year's appeal.  It is not too late to participate at any financial level convenient for you.  Every pledge matters and once we achieve our pledge goal of $200,000 all proceeds will be returned to St. Clare's.

  • Mass for Health Care Workers and Caretakers


    If you are a health care practitioner  (of any kind) or you provide support and care to an ill family member or friend, you are invited to pray together at Sunday Mass:
    Sunday, June 2
    1:00 P.M.

    The Mass will conclude with a blessing for those carry out Christ’s mission by helping us care for our health and healing our ills.

  • May Crowning
    Any child who received First Holy Communion this year is invited to be part of our parish May Crowning, which will take place after the 5:00 Mass this Saturday, May 18.
    There will be a required rehearsal at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 18, in the church. 
    A parent or guardian must accompany the child at the rehearsal.

  • 2013 Summer Vacation Bible School
    VBS will be held at the Cardinal Cooke Center:
    Mon, Aug. 12th - Fri, Aug. 16th
    and continuing
    Mon, Aug. 19th - Fri, Aug. 23rd
    9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
    The program is open to children going into 4 year old pre school through going into 5th grade in September 2013. (Families must be Parishioners)
    The cost is:
     1 week-$60.00 for one child; $90.00 for two children; and $30.00 for each additional child.

     2 weeks-$110.00 for one child; $150.00 for two children; and $50.00 for each additional child.

  • Anointing of the Sick

    SUNDAY, MAY 12
    at the 1:00 P.M. Mass in the church

    Anyone who is ill or infirm, preparing for surgery or chemotherapy, or the elderly weakened by old age may be anointed.
    Please bring family and friends who may benefit from this sacrament.

  • Fundraising & Development
    In an effort to remain the vibrant community spiritually, socially, and financially the finance and parish councils along with members of the Home and School Association have formed a committee.  This committee is examining all fundraising efforts (events, programs, projects, etc.) in addition to other related concepts of marketing and development.  Click here to learn more.

  • Bible Study: First Corinthians
    Join us as we read, study and pray the First Letter of St. Paul to the Corinthians for nine Wednesday evenings starting April 17.  
    Meetings are held at 7:30-9:00 P.M. in the Presentation Center, 169 Lindenwood Road.
    Free-will donation of $13 covers your materials.

Special Eucharistic Adoration

On the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ

Pope Francis invites Catholics throughout the world to join together in prayer and adoration before the Blessed Sacrament on Sunday, June 2. 
We will participate with a special Holy Hour from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. in the chapel, which will begin with a Eucharistic Procession from the church following the 1:00 Mass. 


New Icon of Pier Giorgio Frassati

Our new icon of Blessed Pier Giorgio was blessed on May 24. It is mounted on the wall in the St. Clare Shrine of our church.
