The Church of Saint Clare Supports the Dreamers

Staten Island is home to over 2,500 DREAMERS who will soon be subject to deportation unless

the DREAM Act is passed.  As people of faith we stand with the DREAMERS in our

neighborhood who consider Staten Island the only home they have ever known.  All are

welcome to pray with the DREAMERS, listen to their stories and show support on

Sunday, January 28th at 4 p.m. at Temple Emanu-El, 984 Post Avenue.

The Most Reverend Bishop John

O’Hara will offer the message at this gathering. Please join us.

    2018 Baptismal Renewal Mass

On Sunday, January 7, 2018 we celebrated a baptismal renewal mass for all the babies who were baptized at our Church in the past year and a half. It was a joy having some the children join us. Thank you for coming out in the cold. We hope to do it again next year for the children receiving their baptism this year.

Fr. Richard delivered a vibrant message of Christian Unity to the Christian Churches in Staten Island

On Thursday, January 17, 2018 Fr. Richard delivered a poignant message of Christian unity during the 21st Ecumenical Prayer Service hosted by the Staten Island Council of Churches at Zion Lutheran Church.

"We were not baptized into a Church or denomination. We are all baptized in the Christ Jesus. Therefore, whether Orthodox, Catholic or Protestant, we are all the Body of Christ." Fr. Richard. Thank you to all who attended.
