The following directions are for fringe that is 9" in length.Change the height dimensions of the cardboard to match the length of the fringe needed for your project. - Cut a piece of cardboard that is 3" x 9".
- Both loosely and evenly, wind the yarn around the cardboard lengthwise (9") until the card is full.
- With scissors, cut across one end.
- Repeat steps 2 & 3 until you have the desired number of fringes.
- Hold together the number of fringes needed and then fold in half.
- Turn the right side of the project facing you.
- With a crochet hook, draw the folded end through the stitch and pull the loose ends through the folded end.
- Draw the knot up tightly.
- Repeat steps 7 & 8, spacing the fringe as directed or as desired.
- When finished, lay the project flat on a hard surface and trim the ends.
