Cardinal Timothy Dolan has distributed funds to 6 parishes (Our Lady Help of Christians, St. Clare's, St. Charles, Our Lady Queen of Peace, St. Margaret Mary, and Holy Rosary) across Staten Island that were most affected by Hurricane Sandy.
  • These funds, in the form of a $500.00 debit card are at the discretion of the pastor to be distributed before December 21st to the parishioners.
  • Here at St. Clare's we have established a brief application which must be completed in order to receive the funds and assist Catholic Charities in its documentation.
  • Parishioners can submit their information on our website or by picking up a Catholic Charities Relief Assistance Application at the rectory.
  • An Advisory Team was put together to assist Fr. Richard in distributing the 290 gift cards and will review all applications.
  • Recipients will be notified when to come pick up and sign for their Debit Card (photo ID will be required).
Deadlines for this Service
  • Wednesday, December 5th at 12 Noon - submit application.
  • December 5th - 8th - Applications will be processed and reviewed by Advisory Team.
  • December 8th - 12th: Recipients will be notified by phone/email of assistance granted/not granted.
Additional Assistance
  • Those not receiving a Catholic Charities Debit Card, or in need of additional assistance will be considered for follow up assistance through our additional monetary/gift card donations.
